Space Saving Furniture was the first architecturally inspired journey I went on.
Mirrored is inspired by the idea of the work mirroring the colours you produce back to you; however, this piece aims to reflect what is on the inside of you rather than the outside. Mirrored, alike the whole series, samples viewers specific body temperature and voice pitch converting them into their own harmony of colours. The four installations currently designed in the series range from an intimate experience to a full-scale room that encapsulates a group of a people, conceptually they all possess their own unique colours and sub-meanings.
The series concept was influenced by artists popular in The Light and Space Art Movement (1960’s-1970’s) that focused on using light as a medium in artworks such as James Turrell. Submerging viewers in a personal visual symphony, Electrical Edens draws from the concept of sensory engagement, where colours shift and blend in response to human interaction. It challenges the conventional boundaries of art, inviting active participation and fostering unique connections between individuals and the piece. What sets Electrical Edens apart is its ability to transform a static space into a living canvas that adapts and evolves, echoing the dynamic nature of our environment
